A Fish in the Rain: The Beauty of Tropical Winters
There is a particular magic to the rainy season by the sea. The sky softens into pink and violet, the air smells of wet earth and salt, and the long afternoons and nights seem to slow time itself.
I painted A Fish in the Rain while living right in front of the ocean in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Those winters, with their endless evenings of rain, were my inspiration. This painting captures that feeling: a fish who isn't afraid of the storm, but swims through it, glowing with every color the rain brings out.
