This watercolor on paper, created in 2020, marks the beginning of Under the Moon—the origin of a visual language, a feeling, and a deeply personal artistic journey. It is the first piece where my imagined conversations with Vincent van Gogh began to take form, guiding me toward a more honest and intuitive way of creating.
With its fluid brushstrokes, luminous dots, and organic movement, this piece reflects the beauty of simplicity. There is no excess—only gesture, color, and emotion. The interplay between the glowing sun-like form and the soft, celestial moon creates a quiet balance, suggesting that even in contrast, harmony can exist.
Painted in a moment of exploration and openness, this work holds the raw essence of what would later become an entire collection. It reminds us that the most profound beauty often lives in the simplest expressions—in a brushstroke, in a color, in a pause.
This piece is not only the beginning of Under the Moon, but also the beginning of a conversation—between artist and soul, between past and present, between what is seen and what is felt.
